Hot Water System

Your unit is fitted with a 3 phase Stiebel Eltron brand hot water system, which is located in your overhead laundry cupboard.

It is an instantaneous water heater. Accurate temperature settings are obtained by using the LCD controller. This allows you to adjust the water temperature between 20 and 60 °C.

Your hot water turns on automatically whenever you open the tap and switches off again when you close it. The system heats the water instantly and keeps it steady at the temperature you’ve chosen. If the water coming in is already warm enough, it simply won’t heat it further.

The heating system is designed to work well with both hard and soft water, resists scale build-up, and provides you with reliable hot water quickly and efficiently.

Selecting The Temperature you want;

Information taken from Stiebel Eltron manual.

NB: You can choose to display the temp. in °C or °F.

  • Turn the temperature selector anti-clockwise, past the OFF indicator and another five complete turns, until you find yourself in temperature unit selection mode.
  • Select the temperature unit using the temperature selector.
  • After 30 seconds, the appliance exits selection mode automatically and the selected temperature unit is retained.

Tempering Valve

A tempering valve is a safety device that mixes hot water with cold water to deliver water at a safe, controlled temperature—usually around 50°C—so taps and showers don’t get dangerously hot. It is most likely located in your laundry cupboard, near your hot water system. Turning the orange knob will change the water temerature.

Note:

If the outlet temperature is not high enough when the
draw-off valve is fully open and the temperature selector is set to maximum, then more water is flowing through the appliance than can be heated by the heating system (appliance working at maximum output).

Reduce the water volume until the preferred temperature delivery is achieved.
